In April 2010 Volvo revealed their awesome new cars – Volvo C30 with T5 Engine. The car has the bigger turbo engine than any other Volvo C30. The 2.5 litre engine power boosts up to 399bhp. Amazing isn’t it. Do you think this can be the next Bond car?? I am not sure that will happen but nothing wrong with the thought.
Ever since the new C30 has hit the market the sales have gone up for Volvo and now they even bettering the C30 with the help of Polestar. Polestar is Volvo’s racing and performance partner, who helped them win the Swedish Touring Car Championship last year. The new Volvo might even be faster than the Seat Leon Cupras, Honda Civic Type Rs, and the Golf GTIs. Which means it will run from 0-60mph in and around 6 seconds might be even less than that. I will only believe this when I do a test drive on it.
The new car was on show on 22nd April 2010 in Sweden – Gothenburg motor show. People who visited the show have come back with positive feedbacks for the new stunning C30 Polestar. The old C30 had the alloys option of upto 18inch but this one goes one inch more to 19inch alloys with Pirelli P Zero tyres. It has upgraded springs and dampers to make sure the handling of the car is better than what it was before. I am sure from this update the price would be more expensive than usual for this car. The normal C30 R design will cost £15,999 so this has to be somewhere near £20,000 and more.
Many people who went to show said they are already saving up for this new stunning looking C30 Polestar and to be honest I might do the same. There are some who are saying they would prefer to buy a ford or a Toyota which will help them save some money and also these cars will run far longer than a Volvo. Few are saying they still prefer Audi TT Coupe than the C30 but everyone has different choices.
The Volvo 940 is a part of the Swedish auto maker’s line up of vehicles. Fact is, this vehicle is one of the last of the large rear wheel drive vehicles that is produced under the Volvo brand and name. In the united states and the remainder of North America, the Volvo 940 made its way to public information as a 1991 model. This series of automobiles were essentially merely a style and design makeover of the Volvo 740. Folks claimed this was so because the drivetrains one found on the Volvo 940 is also what the Volvo 740 used. But not just that, for the Volvo 940 also has most features that the older auto had.
The sharing of components part was what led folk to believe that the Volvo 940 was yet another Volvo 740. In reality, the Volvo 940 held the same dashboard, and the same choices for its drivetrain. Also the same was the sheetmetal from the A pillar forward. But of course, there were changes and excellences between the 2. If one would study the brighter side of these 2 vehicles, he would be able to see the Volvo 940 is more updated and was the car that underwent evolution.
This automobile model from Volvo was provided in body styles that encompass of the sedan ( salon ), and the lorry ( estate ). The last of its kind slid off the producing plants in the year 1998. Returning to its simple origins, the Volvo 940 was essentially introduced to the public along with its sibling, the Volvo 960. Both these vehicles held seen petrol engines with 4 cylinders. There had been also the optional turbocharged engine as well as the turbo diesel engine with 6 cylinders. And just like any other Volvo auto, the Volvo 940 came packed with safety features. The collection of safety features included a three-point inertia-reel seat belt, an adjustable head restraint in the middle of the rear seat, and an integrated kid seat built into the rear sear’s middle armrest. The adjustable head restraint was essentially a predecessor to the first. This jumps done by Volvo with the Volvo 940 as per safety was recognized well enough. And for that, Volvo received world awards that incorporated the’Prince Michael Road Safety Award’ as well as the prize for the best security features from automobile vehicle and Motor.
