How To Ensure Your New Car Feels New For Longer

People who have bought new cars recently are going to be very happy with how their new car looks. Imagine if you could keep your car looking like that for a number of years? Here are just a few tips for how to make cars feel like new for longer.

- You really need to make sure you carry out regular oil changes as this will help you to get the most from your car in terms of performance. If you don’t do this it will cause damage to the vehicle. You will be told that you should change your oil every three months particularly if you use your car a lot.

- Taking care of the tyres is a very good idea as they are a really important part of your car. Regular rotation will increase their longevity and keep you safe. Some of the tyres usually tend to wear more quickly than the others so that is why it is important to rotate them. Most people will rotate their tyres about every second oil change.

- Put some effort into keeping your car clean and wash and polish the body of the vehicle regularly. Your car will look old and dull if you don’t take care of the bodywork.

- Keep your maintenance appointments at your local garage. This will not only identify any problems but will also prevent them occurring in the first place.

- Make a habit of taking care of basic maintenance, for example washing the car, oil changes and rotation of tyres. Developing routines just becomes something that we do and this means that it does not end up being like a chore for you.

Once you get into the habit of looking after your car and making sure it goes for a regular service, you will find that it is easy to keep it looking new for longer. So any effort you have to put in will be rewarded because your new car feeling will last for much longer.

Technological advances today are often astounding. And the car industry is testament to that. And you only have to look at the advancement in colt specifications. With far reaching advances in colt cleartec and colt motors in general.

Car Dealers And The Top Questions To Ask

For those who are planning on buying a brand new car, there are a number of questions that you should put to the dealer. Before you make any decisions, the questions below should be asked of the car dealer.

- What type of financing can you offer? Not many people can afford to pay the full price outright for a brand new car and will therefore need to get some finance. Most dealers will have their own promotions and you will want the one that offers you the lowest interest and most favorable terms. Any finance deal that you go for should not contain any hidden costs and you also need to make sure that you fully understand it.

- How much are you going to take off the price of the car if I trade in my old one? Selling your old car can be a bit of a hassle so many of us choose to trade in. But before deciding to trade a car in, it is important that we get an idea of the price we are going to get for it. In many cases the amount offered will be insulting and you may want to take your business elsewhere. Some sellers will offer a better deal if they believe they are going to lose the sale.

- Will you be giving me any extras with the car? Most car dealers will be willing to offer a few extras if you know how to bargain for them. In fact dealers are given plenty of free stuff which they can use for this purpose. What you need to be looking for are things like extended warranties, free polishing or cleaning and free oil changes.

- What is the car going to cost me in total? Often you will find that you end up paying much more for the car than the price you were quoted originally by the dealer. It is important that you get a proper price for the car before you commit to buy because the dealer will often give you the base price initially and then add things on for this and for that.

Technological advances today are often astounding. And the car industry is testament to that. And you only have to look at the advancement in colt specifications. With far reaching advances in colt cleartec and colt motors in general.

New Cars And The Extras You Should Expect

Those who are thinking of buying a brand new car for the first time might be wondering what if any extras they should expect. The answer to this question will all depend on the kind of relationship you develop with the dealer. If they are desperate to sell the car they will be willing to throw in a lot of extras – especially if they believe it’s a deal breaker. However you will find them less generous if they think that you will buy the car anyway. This is a shame because the dealers get a lot of stuff for free, but some won’t give anything more than they feel is needed. Sometimes you will see two people heading out of a dealers at the same time with brand new cars and one of them will have been given lots of extras while the other was given just one or two.

You might be able to get the dealer to throw in some of the following items so it could be worth bargaining for these.

- Floor mats.

- Clothes.

- Golf umbrellas.

- Steering wheel covers.

- Cushions for travelling.

- Extra sun visors.

- A certain number of free oil changes – try for five.

- Car polishing and free cleanign for a year.

- Extra warranties.

- DVD players for passengers.

- Car cleaning products and equipment.

Above are just some of the things that you can try to pressure the car dealer into providing. It is very unlikely that you will get them all but you should work on getting a few of these. However the thing to do first is to get the price of the car knocked down if you can. But if you can get the dealer to give you some of these extras, it will make the deal even sweeter; remember that he gets them for free anyway.

City cars has advanced faster than anybody could have foreseen just a few short years ago. They are not just some figment of a science fiction writer’s imagination anymore. Nowadays, many types of electric cars are making an appearance including 4wd and take the opportunity to go for a colt test drive.

The Colt Age

If you picture a classic car perhaps you picture a Triumph or a polished well-loved Bentley, but it’s unlikely that the Mitsubishi Colt would be first on your mental list. However, at nearly fifty years old the Colts you are able to get brand new today are the consequence of half a century of sophisticated, smart design and style, causing them to be a not considered modern day classic.

The primary Colt models were first shown at the 9th Tokyo Motorshow in 1962.The 5-seat, two door Mitsubishi Colt 600 was driven by an air-cooled 594 cc  twin cylinder OHV engine coupled with a top speed of 62mph. Manufactured in Mitsubishi’s Okazaki factory the passenger sedan, a successor for the successful Mitsubishi 500 Super Deluxe, placed second and third in the under 600 cc category of the 1963 Malaysian Grand Prix.

The Colt 600′s clever sleek and stylish look was born from the requirement to exploit local Japanese tax and insurance polices, and in most rural areas it was exempted from the prerequisite to certify that adequate parking was available for the car.

Following the popularity of the 600 model the larger compact Colt 1000 was introduced in 1963, then the Colt 800 and Colt 1500 in 1965, as well as the Colt 1100 in 1966. As Mitsubishi Motors began to grow worldwide the English were initially treated to an completely different meaning of the Colt brand, as all Mitsubishis were sold under that marque in Britain by the freshly formed Colt Car Company. It was not until 1984 this naming method was phased out, bringing Mitsubishi firmly as a brand into the United Kingdom.

In the Seventies Japan was hit by a petrol crisis and several car manufacturers responded with economical updates to their lines. Mitsubishi’s answer was the three-door front wheel drive Mirage with revolutionary ‘Supershift’ transmission and a distinct large-windowed design. Although not known as a Colt in Japan the range was exported to the US as the Dodge  Colt and Plymouth Champ and the innovative Colt specifications scooped the highest United States Environmental Protection Agency fuel economy rating that year. In Britain the Mirage again fell under the marque of the Colt and was distinguished from other models by engine size, with the names Colt 1200 and Colt 1400.

This was only the start of the story, a tale which continues today with the modern Colt models, such as the innovative MiEV and also the intelligently designed Colt Cleartec, giving everyone the opportunity to drive a classic piece of history which is leading the way into the future.
